About RichmondDNA.net

Hello! And welcome to our DNA project. Established in 2006, the project was "adopted" in April of 2007, by the current organizers. Our aim is to make this one of the best DNA Projects on the web. We are a group of amatuer genealogists researching the RICHMOND surname or one of it's variant spellings. The ONLY expense connected with this project is the website hosting. Any moneys received from outside sources will go toward a "test fund" maintained by our lab, Family Tree DNA. (We will set up something like this.) We are all volunteers and this is a not-for-profit endeavor.

Please take a moment to look around. We hope you find your stay here useful and helpful for your genealogy research.

Participating in a Surname DNA Project provides:

The Richmond Surname

Many DNA Surname Projects have "taken off" recently and Richmond DNA is soon to follow! According to 1990 Census records, the RICHMOND Surname is listed as the 765th most common surname in the US. Do you have a male in your family tree with the last name RICHMOND? Another family member can even send for the kit and take care of the details for him. All variant spellings of RICHMOND are welcome.

Project Coordinator

My name is Jeff Richmond and I am an amatuer genealogist. I have been researching my family tree on and off since about 1996. I became interested in starting this project after reading about DNA surname research on the web. I hope you will get as much enjoyment as I do "finding clues" to your family tree.
